Fall Style :Tribal Print Shift Dress

DSC_3242

One of my fashion dilemma right now, is finding the right shift dress. I'm 5ft and it's extremely hard to find dresses specifically shift dresses. You want them to be at least couple inches above the knee or else you would look like an oompa loompa. I tried a number of them , of course at  the petite section and it just doesn't seem to fit right.
So, the solution to that problem would either have it tailored or put  a belt on it. In this case I opted to use a belt,  and  it worked pretty good actually. But I still want to have them tailored though, I just didn't have the time right now and  I have  been crazy busy lately with school stuff. My little boy is going to be kindergarten soon, how time flies, I just can't believe how much he have grown. It just seems like yesterday that I have given birth to him and now he is going to be  kindergarten! He is really excited about it and we shopped together for all his school supplies this week. It was really fun and I just love it!

I love this chain bracelet that has been gifted to me by Ara Nicole . It's very versatile , it goes with almost anything in your closet and most of all it is not heavy on your wrist at all. I had some chunky chain bracelets before and they are heavy on the wrist , this one is not. They are cool, trendy, casual and lightweight. I just love it. One of the best thing I love about Ara Nicole designs is that most of
their designs are handcrafted by amazing new designers. Check out more of handcrafted designs at Ara Nicole . They are offering 20% off so just enter the code Sweetescape20.

Fashion Inspiration : The one and only Mira Duma. I just love her unique style, although some of it are really crazy and you can't relate for daily wear but the way she style and carry herself with this off the runway looks, she pulled it off really good, considering  she is  petite. I also love the way she mix prints. For some people that knows me, I love prints. I don't know why, I'm just drawn to it.

Niagara Falls (Canada Side)
Hi my lovelies! Last week me and my family went to Niagara Falls for a weekend getaway. My dad
is going back to the Philippines , I will miss him so much :( and so we thought taking him to Niagara Falls for the weekend would be a great idea. It's my first time to be there as well, so I was also really excited for the trip .The view lived up more than my expectation, it's amazingly beautiful and breath taking. When you go near the falls, it is so misty that when the wind blows on your direction you think it's raining .That also explains my flat hair on the picture or maybe my hairspray wasn't really that good. You know, when you go on vacation, you try to travel light and just bring travel packs  bought from the drugstore. But that's okay,  what matters most is that we had  lots of fun. I will definitely go back in this place but I would wait until my daughter gets a little older , it's a little challenging travelling with 2 kids, one an infant and  the other one is a school aged. I tell you, it's crazy but ofcourse it's fun, definitely worth it.

How about you guys? How was your weekend?

When I was pregnant with my first baby ,  I am on look out with almost every baby products out there from crib , strollers , car seat ,  including cleaning products. I am so particular with things that are organic, non-toxic and ammonia free, that's when I discovered Seventh Generation. I am a big fan of their cleaning products ever since then and  even now that I already have my 2nd baby, I still continue to use them and they never fail me. Now, Seventh Generation is introducing their brand new line of Natural Skin-Boosting Serum. Just so you know, I am a big skincare junkie. I love make up,but I'm more into skincare products. There is nothing even better than having great skin and so I tried the Seventh Generation Serum. There are a lot of serums out there and I tried a number of them. So far this Seventh Generation is going to be my new favorite skin care product . I tried it for a week and ever since I received them , I never broke out. I have a very sensitive skin, I have my battles with acne and it wasn't pretty at all ! Here are the reasons why my super sensitive skin love this product :

1) Absorbs quickly
2) Are free of parabens , phthalates and synthetic fragrances
3) Are clinically proven hypoallergenic
4) won't clog pores

This product is also USDA certified biobased. The serum contain pure active botanicals that are known to have powerful skin effects. Serum put you in control of your skin, enabling you to use only what you  really need, when you need it. Use alone or add your favorite Seventh Generation personal care product. I personally use it before bedtime and my face feel so smooth and refreshed in the morning.

Hi lovelies! How was your weekend ? Mine was beautiful. My family and I spent our weekend celebrating my daughter Olivia's baptism. I always love occasion like that, most specially on my kids for it's a celebration of life with God. It's also a chance for the family and close friends to get together and catch up on things. I love family gatherings, when I was still living in the Philippines, I have a huge family back there ,it's like a battalion and every Sunday me, my siblings and  cousins go to our grandma's house for lunch and during our summer breaks, we spent most our days there. So it's like a party everyday and there's always something to do. Now everybody has all grown up and have their own endeavors in life. Regardless, A family is a family , you might not  see each other or talk to each other more often but deep inside each one them has a special place in your heart. Okay, I'm getting too dramatic here.

Let's move on , Another reason why I love special occasions like this, is that I love  to dress up and the occasion calls for the chance for me to wear this peplum dress that I bought last Christmas, when I was still pregnant with Olivia. I was really hoping that it will fit on me after the baby, that was really risky of me buying the dress , not even knowing how it will turn out after I had the baby. I don't normally shop like that, I'm more like " I buy it now, I wear it now ".I was even surprised myself but I guess that was my impatient and impulsive pregnant hormones kicking in. I'm just glad, that I finally fit in this dress now, at least it's not wasted and most of all my hard work with the grueling  Insanity work out is slowly paying off. I swear, losing baby weight is such a struggle for me. But I would have to do a separate post of that about losing baby weight or else this post would turn out to be a novel, you probably be snoozing before you know it or have you already lol.

Have a great week everyone and thanks for stopping by

Love,
     April
