Easy Chicken Spaghetti Carbonara Recipe

Hi my lovelies ! It's been a long time that I haven't updated my recipe page and I really wanted to make it active because I also like to share my other passions like cooking and  baking. Today, let's talk about comfort food. What is your favorite comfort food ? me and my family's favorite dish is Chicken Spaghetti Carbonara , I love the combination of white cream sauce and bacon ! Though this dish is not a healthy option,  it's okay to indulge ourselves from time to time. But you can also tweaked the recipe , like this one I used Turkey bacon instead of pork. It's less fattening  and  it actually taste as good too.

So today I would like to share with you one of my family's favorite. It is so easy like 1-2-3 and I'm so glad to have found this recipe.

Chicken Spaghetti Carbonara
  • 1 lb spaghetti noodles, cooked according to package instructions
  • 4 pieces eggs, beaten
  • 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 3/4 lb bacon, chopped
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons green onion, minced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  1. Combine beaten eggs, heavy whipping cream, and parmesan cheese then mix well. Set aside.
  2. Heat a cooking pot or pan then place the butter and let melt.
  3. Fry the bacon until the texture becomes crisp. Set aside.
  4. On the same cooking pot or pan, remove excess butter then sauté the garlic and green onions.
  5. Put-in the spaghetti noodles and beaten egg- heavy whipping cream – parmesan cheese mixture then mix well. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
  6. Add the fried bacon and distribute.
  7. Transfer to a serving plate then serve.

Radical Skincare Review

As much as I love make up, there is nothing comparable to have a beautiful healthy smooth skin. I'm a big fan of  skin care products and I don't go to sleep without doing my skin care routine every night. As we all know the skin is the biggest organ of our body, it is what people would notice right away. So, it is very important to take care of your skin  to prevent such damage brought about by the environment and also to maintain a healthy skin. With so many products out there, it gets really confusing of which one is suitable for you, that's why it is very important to know your skin type and to know what kind of product is suitable for your type. I have become very meticulous and very careful of what to put on my skin. I'm sure you are the same way too but in my case,  I  have been through a lot with my skin. First of all, I wasn't blessed with smooth skin , I had my battles with on and off acne during my younger years and also for a short period of time when I became a mom. Finally , I was able to manage it with a skin care product that I have been using.  The pimples cleared up and never came back, thank god. But they left me some souvenirs , the scars.

Enter , Radical Skincare. I have been using their  age-defying exfoliating pads for more than a week now and to be honest with you , I never broke out and most of all, my scars are radically clearing up considering I only used them for a week and a half. Why is it so? They have AHA and BHA in it ,it's a multi fruit acid base formula is of maximum efficacy to remove dead cells and accelerate the performance of Radical Skincare Products while other ingredients are proven to tighten and firm skin, reduce pore size and lines, yet ideally preserve skin's hydration and nourishment.

When i first applied the pads , it has a cool sensation and it  feels really good and relaxing to your face. I also
felt a  tingling sensation afterwards too but it doesn't bother me at all because it doesn't really last that long. I think the product is taking its effect that's why I felt like that at first, but then after I gradually been using it ,it doesn't tingles as much. The first three days , you notice some slight of peeling but it's very little, that it is not hard to manage at all. I just apply some moisturizer and I'm good to go. At first I thought that it's going to burn my skin since it's an exfoliating agent but I was wrong because it did not at all and it actually delivers its promise to refine, prime and boost my skin.

So there is a picture of me bare with no trace of make up , unedited and unfiltered .Posting a picture of me online with no make up at all, actually makes me nervous because I'm not pretty lol but I'm ok, Im happy for who I am. I just feel a little awkward about it,  but I just want to show you guys the results. So as you can see  my acne scars  are  lightening, I still have a little bit there though but it's only been over a week, but I already felt that  my skin is tighter and my pores is getting smaller than it used to. Most of all, I didn't break out since my skin is super sensitive.Like i said I have been using this product only for just  over a week and I'm really excited to finish the whole product. By then , I am going to show you the results too .I just love how this product is strong to take its effect but yet gentle enough to your skin too. Just ignore my dark under eye circles for I don't really get an 8 hours of sleep with a with a baby lol.

Thank you so much for reading and have a fabulous weekend !

*This is a sponsored post ,the thoughts and opinions are my own. I got this product for free, regardless i only recommend products i use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Current Obsession : Distressed jeans

Hi my lovelies !  Lately, I'm kind of obsessed with distressed jeans, but my dream distressed jeans style are those boyfriend distressed jeans , like the ones in the picture below.

They are a little loosed fit as compared to my skinny jeans obviously. But i don't know if I can rock this kind of jeans though. Since I'm only 5 ft and have short legs. I think this style of jeans is well suited for taller girls. I really like this look though because  its very relax, effortless and cool. Oh how i wish I'm a little bit taller .

Now, Olivia Palermo is totally rocking distressed skinny jeans. I love how she did her pairings for different looks. She is the epitome of chic. I totally dig her style right now or even though back then,  during
"The City" days, but I wasn't really a big fan of her because she's kind of a snob . But fashion wise, this girl could dressed really good. Well, she got a barbie doll figure and  that makes it a lot easier too.

btw, excuse the stain on my jacket its just baby food

To be honest with you, I wasn't really into distressed jeans before. For me, they weren't chic at all. It looks like that's the only jeans you have that you worn many times until it got ripped lol. I know, i know you can say anything. I'm just saying. Now, the tables are turned because I really love wearing them!  I feel like I look cool wearing them hahahah. But since , I'm a mom and on my early 30's I opted to wear something that is less tattered, that way I don't look like I tried too hard to look too cool or am I ? tell me ! Anyway, just have fun wearing what you like to wear. That is what fashion is all about , experimenting and having fun.

A Mommy's Day Out

dress : French Connection
heels : Express

Hi my loves ,  First and foremost I would like to give my husband Steve a big shout out and credits for baby sitting the kids last Saturday ,so I can spend my belated birthday celebration with my girls. I may sound to you like its my once in a lifetime moment . I agree with that. It's very rare that I get to do hang out with friends " kid free " , most of the time I'm with my family. It's not that my husband doesn't like to baby sit the kids or doesn't want me to go out, it's just that we have two kids now. One is school aged (kindergarten) other one is a toddler and pretty much our weekends is packed with activities, errands and what nots. Extracurricular  activities with friends is set aside, although I love spending time with them and I wish I squeeze everything in so everybody will be happy but unfortunately I can't. But then , just like me they also have same situation like I do. Anyways, These beautiful ladies threw me an awesome fun-filled birthday party. I really had a blast and I can't thank them enough of how touched I was . I  feel so blessed, thankful and greatful for this beautiful friendship.

The Minimalist

Lately , I've been gravitating towards minimalist style of dressing. The simple , neutral, tailored, toned down, classic, less- fuss look. I would say, I blame it to my busier lifestyle that I have now and also a break from all the  combination of florals ,prints and textures that i was sporting before. So for me to achieve that minimalist look , a plain white blouse and jeans is a perfect outfit canvas. To add life without making it over fussy , I accessorize it with bright color  structured bag and a simple bright color heels. So with this canvas (jeans x white blouse),  anything goes.

Since,  I'm in my 30's  ( alright.... 32 to be exact ) I'm leaning toward lighter colors like white, blush, nude, camel, gray. In my opinion it makes me feel and look vibrant , refreshing and youthful looking. Of course, I'm still going to wear dark colors time to time, it depends on what I feel like wearing that day but like I said  lighter colors add vibrancy to the skin, in my opinion.

I also noticed it too on celebrities and fashion icons in their late 20's and 30's  like Nicole Richie, Alexa Chung , Miranda Kerr and Olivia Palermo sporting minimalist style and they look vibrant, refreshing and youthful in lighter colors, structured and tailored looks. So what do you guys think ?

Simply Pastel

These past few days, it was such a spring tease up here Michigan. Just when you thought that spring weather is about to start as the temperature is slowly rising up day by day until today we got bombarded with 8 inches of snow. My heart sank , just like everybody else your mood goes with the weather or maybe it's just me. Well right now it is just downright depressing. I can only put up so much of this cold and clammy weather. Its been like this whole winter long.I never experienced this too much snow and a lot of below zero days. I know, complaining over something you can't control of is irrelevant but you got to vent it out sometimes or else you subconsciously consumed yourself with  frustration. Anyways, I don't want to turn this blog into a venting machine. So let's move on to a topic that diverts me to a different dimension, my outlet , my other world and that is my love for fashion.Since spring is just around the corner and hopefully soon if the weather permits of course, pastels specifically blush is my favorite spring/summer color. It is my essential color since I'm tan and it compliments better on my skin tone. Another fashion obsession that I have  are big loose blouse like the one  I'm wearing now. Its light and airy, very simple yet chic. I can still stay fashionable while chasing Olivia around in this outfit. So what do you guys think?

Back to Basics

It's nice to be in an "on trend " outfit all the time but for me nowadays there is nothing much better or shall i say safer if you wear basic and simple outfits. Especially now that I'm getting older and my life is pretty much more hectic having two kids. I chose to wear something more suitable to my lifestyle like comfy fitted jeans, sweaters or button ups and mid-heel shoes. I  try my best  to  look at least well put together when i go out. It may not be consistent every time ,that  depends on the situation. But for the most part I try to look good and feel good about myself not just the outside but the inside as well. I have been doing insanity work out and eating clean. It wasn't fun and breezy, a lot of struggles for the most part since I don't work out during my 20's and I just eat all the junk I can think of and still stayed slim. Now, that's never going to happen anymore,  you will instantly see the results of my junk food galore  on the scale and on my tummy the most. So after I had two kids that's when I started to watch what I eat and I have  been working out hard to shed my stomach bulge due to pregnancy. I wish I'm one of those women who only breastfeed then they lost tons of weight and they get back in shape. Unfortunately that didn't happen to me, so I have to work hard. If you want to know more about bits and pieces of my work out journey just follow me on my Instagram.

Lately, I have been obsessed with layering fine and slim chained necklaces. I think they are  cool, simple  and elegant statement pieces . They pretty much goes well with any outfit and amped up a simple outfit like the one I'm wearing.

Statement Necklace feat. Majestical Jewelry

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
top : J.crew
boyfriend jeans : Charlotte Russe
necklace : c/o Majestical Jewelry

A Statement necklace is one of my favorite jewelry trend, they  give life and make a bold statement to an outfit. Such as a simple casual shirt that i wore on the photo above and the  simple dress that i wore at the photo below  , the bright red statement necklace instantly adds flair to a very simple casual,semi-formal or formal outfit. You just have to pick the right kind of statement necklace that goes with your ensemble and what kind of look you are going for. I just love this red statement necklace by Majestical Jewelry , aside from being beautiful and eye catching. It is also very versatile, you can dress it up or dress it down, that's one of the factor that I look for in a jewelry, versatility. Also in a statement necklace , it is  essential to pair it with a simple stud or a tear drop earrings , so the attention will be focus on the necklace and i think it looks well put together that way, instead of each jewelry fighting on each others attention. Then you will end up looking like a Christmas tree, complete with all the trimmings ,  I'm not trying to be judgemental here. I'm sure I have been looking like a Christmas tree on some days, c'mon we all have fashion faux pas, but then we learn somehow and then we change it. It's like motherhood , it's not perfect all the time no matter how hard we try , but then we realized our mistakes ,we figure out and we correct things on our own.

dress : Guess (last summer season)
shoes : Guess
necklace : c/o Majestical Jewelry
